Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéing
  • Fresh basil and oregano for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with grated cheese in the third.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in flour, then egg, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Sauté in olive oil over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish, top with marinara sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and chicken is cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  8. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
