- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for sautéing
- Fresh basil and oregano for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Set up a breading station with flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with grated cheese in the third.
- Dip each chicken breast in flour, then egg, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Sauté in olive oil over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish, top with marinara sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and chicken is cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
- Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
