Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in the vanilla extract until incorporated.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt, then gradually mix into the butter-sugar mixture until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped almonds and chocolate chips gently.
  5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop the dough into balls and flatten slightly.
  7. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
