- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract until incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt, then gradually mix into the butter-sugar mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped almonds and chocolate chips gently.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop the dough into balls and flatten slightly.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
