Description

Delightful and festive macarons shaped like Christmas trees, filled with creamy buttercream in a variety of flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • Flavoring extracts (vanilla, almond, peppermint)
  • Green food coloring
  • Festive edible glitter or colored sugar (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whip egg whites until frothy, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Sift together almond flour and powdered sugar, then fold into egg whites.
  4. Add green food coloring and gently fold until uniform.
  5. Pipe tree shapes on baking sheets, sprinkle with edible glitter.
  6. Let macarons rest for 30-60 minutes to develop a skin.
  7. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 15-18 minutes, then cool completely.
  8. Beat softened butter with powdered sugar and flavoring to make filling.
  9. Assemble macarons by pairing shells and filling them.
