Description

A cherished recipe for vibrant, sweet raspberry jam with a hint of lemon, perfect for the holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries (or frozen, thawed and drained)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (or bottled)
  • 1 package pectin

Instructions

  1. Start by washing your raspberries gently to avoid bruising.
  2. In a large, heavy-bottomed pot, combine the raspberries with sugar, lemon juice, and pectin. Stir well to coat the berries evenly.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  4. Once the mixture comes to a boil, continue to cook for around 10 to 15 minutes, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and let the jam cool slightly before pouring it into sterilized jars.
  6. Seal the jars tightly and let them cool completely to room temperature.

Notes

For best results, stir in a pinch of salt at the end to enhance flavors. Always use enough pectin for a thick jam.
