- 4 fresh jalapenos
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Optional: diced green onions, garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a pan for frying.
- Halve the jalapenos and remove seeds. Dice finely.
- In a bowl, mix chopped jalapenos, cream cheese, shredded cheese, salt, pepper, and optional ingredients.
- Form small bite-sized balls from the mixture.
- Roll each ball in breadcrumbs. Optionally dip in beaten egg first.
- For baking: Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, flipping halfway. For frying: Fry in oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
For a spicier kick, use pepper jack cheese. Can be customized with various cheeses or add-ins based on your preference.
