Ingredients

  • 4 fresh jalapenos
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Optional: diced green onions, garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a pan for frying.
  2. Halve the jalapenos and remove seeds. Dice finely.
  3. In a bowl, mix chopped jalapenos, cream cheese, shredded cheese, salt, pepper, and optional ingredients.
  4. Form small bite-sized balls from the mixture.
  5. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs. Optionally dip in beaten egg first.
  6. For baking: Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, flipping halfway. For frying: Fry in oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
