Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together 1 cup of unsalted butter, ½ cup granulated sugar, and ½ cup brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.
- Whisk together 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes, then sprinkle with granulated sugar and caramelize with a kitchen torch.
- Cool completely before serving.
