Description

A delightful dish that combines fresh trout with a luscious garlic butter sauce, brightened by lemon and fresh parsley.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh trout fillets
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the trout fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter until bubbly.
  3. Place the trout fillets skin-side down and sear for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic around the fish, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Flip the trout, add more butter, lemon juice, and half of the parsley, spooning the sauce over the fish.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Serve garnished with remaining parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

For substitutions, salmon or tilapia can replace trout; ghee or olive oil may be used instead of butter for a dairy-free option.
