Description
A delightful dish that combines fresh trout with a luscious garlic butter sauce, brightened by lemon and fresh parsley.
Ingredients
Scale
- Fresh trout fillets
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the trout fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter until bubbly.
- Place the trout fillets skin-side down and sear for 4-5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic around the fish, being careful not to burn it.
- Flip the trout, add more butter, lemon juice, and half of the parsley, spooning the sauce over the fish.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve garnished with remaining parsley and lemon wedges.
Notes
For substitutions, salmon or tilapia can replace trout; ghee or olive oil may be used instead of butter for a dairy-free option.
