Description

Delightful and nutty gluten-free scones made with almond flour, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (or coconut oil for dairy-free)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, dried cranberries, or nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Stir gently to form a soft dough, avoiding over-mixing.
  5. If adding optional ingredients, fold them in at this stage.
  6. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, forming small rounds, about 2-3 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden-brown. A toothpick inserted should come out clean.
  8. Allow cooling slightly before enjoying warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container to retain moisture.
