- Maraschino cherries for topping
- Whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- Layer sliced bananas evenly across the bottom of the dish.
- Pour crushed pineapple (with juice) over the bananas, then add chopped nuts if using.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit layers.
- Drizzle the melted butter generously over the cake mix.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips across the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden and bubbling.
- Serve slightly cooled with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry on top.
Notes
For variations, substitute yellow cake mix with gluten-free options or use white chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet chocolate. Don’t omit the juice from the pineapple for added moisture.
