- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder

- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (for icing)
- 2–4 tbsp milk (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Drop generous amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space for them to spread.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar with a splash of milk until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cookies.
- Let the icing set, and then enjoy!

For extra flair, consider adding sprinkles to the icing or crushed nuts in the dough.
