Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or your choice)
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a pot of salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and herbs. Add to skillet and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and broccoli. Sauté until vibrant and tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, simmer gently. Add parmesan cheese, stirring until melted. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  5. Add cooked pasta and chicken back to the skillet, mixing well until sauce coats everything. Cook for 2-3 more minutes and adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Serve garnished with fresh herbs and enjoy!

Notes

For a lighter version, swap the cream for chicken broth. You can also customize with vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers.
