- 1 lb boneless chicken breasts
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or your choice)
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a pot of salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and herbs. Add to skillet and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and broccoli. Sauté until vibrant and tender, about 3-5 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, simmer gently. Add parmesan cheese, stirring until melted. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if necessary.
- Add cooked pasta and chicken back to the skillet, mixing well until sauce coats everything. Cook for 2-3 more minutes and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve garnished with fresh herbs and enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter version, swap the cream for chicken broth. You can also customize with vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers.
