Description

A rich and creamy Basque cheesecake with a beautifully burnt top, perfect for family gatherings and celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare your loaf pan by lining it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang.
  3. Combine cream cheese and sugar in a bowl and beat until smooth.
  4. Add heavy cream, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt; mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is slightly jiggly.
  7. Allow to cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least four hours, preferably overnight.
  8. Lift the cheesecake out using parchment paper, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

Watch for the cheesecake’s top to brown; if it browns too quickly, lower the oven temperature slightly. Let cool gradually in the pan to avoid cracks.
