Festive Mini Brie Christmas Trees made with creamy Brie, sautéed mushrooms, and fresh herbs, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- Brie Cheese
- Mushrooms
- Garlic
- Fresh Herbs (Thyme and Rosemary)
- Puff Pastry
- Olive Oil or Butter
- Egg Wash
- Optional toppings (Chopped nuts or cranberries)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the mushrooms: Clean and chop them, then sauté in olive oil with minced garlic until soft and fragrant. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Roll out the puff pastry: On a floured surface, roll it to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Layer the Brie and mushroom mixture: Place a slice of Brie on your pastry, top with the sautéed mushrooms, and cover with another slice of Brie before placing a second tree pastry on top.
- Seal the edges: Use a fork to crimp and seal the edges, then place the tree on a lined baking sheet.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool slightly, then serve warm with a sprinkle of fresh herbs and a slice of lemon.
Notes
Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for even melting. Avoid overcrowding the mushrooms when sautéing.
