Description

Delightful Nutella Puff Pastry Valentines, perfect for sharing love and joy on Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Puff Pastry (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 Egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Powdered Sugar (for dusting)
  • Sea Salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out your puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into heart shapes, about 3-4 inches wide.
  3. Place a generous teaspoon of Nutella in the center of each heart. Optionally, add slices of strawberries or bananas.
  4. Seal the heart by folding it in half and pressing the edges together. Use a fork to crimp the edges for decoration.
  5. Brush the tops with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  6. Bake on a lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar and sprinkle with sea salt before serving.

Notes

For a crispy texture, consider using a perforated baking sheet. Avoid overfilling to prevent bursting during baking.
