- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare your baking pan by lining an 8×8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
- Melt the fudge base: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk and butter. Stir continuously until melted and combined.
- Add the chocolate chips: Once the mixture is smooth and bubbly, remove it from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until they’re fully melted and smooth.
- Incorporate vanilla: Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Mix in the Oreos: Gently fold in the crushed Oreos, ensuring they’re evenly dispersed throughout the chocolate fudge.
- Spread and chill: Pour the mixture into the lined baking pan and spread it evenly. Chill in the refrigerator for about 120-180 minutes or until firm.
- Cut and serve: Once firm, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper, cut into squares and serve. Optionally sprinkle extra Oreo crumbs on top before chilling.
Notes
For dairy-free variations, substitute chocolate chips with dairy-free options and use coconut condensed milk. It’s also great to serve with vanilla ice cream or warm chocolate sauce.
