Description

A delightful appetizer featuring layers of creamy Brie cheese, ripe pears, and tart cranberries on toasted baguette slices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 French baguette
  • 8 oz Brie cheese
  • 2 ripe pears
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette into half-inch rounds and arrange them on a baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil and bake for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Spread a generous layer of Brie cheese on each crostini slice, then add the pear slices atop the cheese.
  3. Sprinkle the dried cranberries evenly on top of the pear layer.
  4. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired and add a sprinkle of chopped herbs.
  5. Return the crostini to the oven for another 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy fresh with loved ones!

Notes

Ensure your Brie is at room temperature for easier spreading. Avoid overcrowding the toppings for the best flavor balance.
