Description

Deliciously creamy Peppermint Oreo Truffles, coated in rich white chocolate, perfect for festive gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 package Oreo cookies (regular or family-sized)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • Festive sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos either in a food processor or by hand until finely crushed.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese until well blended.
  3. Cover the mixture and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Roll tablespoon-sized portions into smooth balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring in 30-second intervals.
  6. Dip each Oreo ball in the melted white chocolate and let excess chocolate drip off.
  7. Sprinkle with festive decorations if desired, before the chocolate hardens.
  8. Chill until the chocolate is set completely.
  9. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For a richer flavor, try using dark or milk chocolate instead of white chocolate. These truffles also freeze well for up to three months.
