Description
A delightful blend of fresh fruits, herbs, and sparkling water, perfect for summer gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 6–8 fresh basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup (optional)
- Icy ice cubes
- 1 cup sparkling water or tonic water
Instructions
- Prep the ingredients: Start with one cup of fresh strawberries, hulled and halved. Add a handful of fresh basil leaves (about six to eight).
- Muddle the mixture: In a sturdy glass, muddle the strawberries and basil together gently until you start to release their juices—about 20 seconds does the trick.
- Sweeten if desired: If you prefer a sweeter flavor, add a teaspoon of honey or agave at this point.
- Add ice: Fill the glass with ice. Don’t be shy; you want it frosty!
- Pour in the fizz: Top the mixture with sparkling water or tonic water. You might like to add around one cup, but adjust based on your preference.
- Garnish and enjoy: Give it a gentle stir, garnish with a basil leaf, or slice of strawberry, and serve immediately!
