- 1 lb ground meat (beef, pork, or turkey)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, sautéed
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, sautéed onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Add fresh herbs and mix gently.
- Scoop out portions of the mixture and roll into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and slightly crispy.
- In a saucepan, mix cranberry sauce, a splash of balsamic vinegar, and a pinch of salt over medium heat until heated and slightly thickened.
- Once meatballs are baked, drizzle with the cranberry glaze and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
For healthier options, use lean ground meat or gluten-free breadcrumbs. They freeze well for up to three months.
