Instructions
- Prep the scallops: Rinse the scallops under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Seasoning: Lightly season the scallops with salt and pepper.
- Heat your skillet: In a large skillet, heat a combination of olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
- Sear: Once the skillet is hot, add the scallops. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on one side until a crust forms.
- Flip and flavor: Gently flip the scallops, adding garlic and cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the scallops and sprinkle with zest.
- Herbs on top: Just before serving, stir in freshly chopped herbs.
