Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, reserving half a cup of pasta cooking water before draining.
- Sauté the mushrooms in olive oil over medium-high heat until golden and caramelized.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Sprinkle in red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to taste.
- Combine the sautéed mushrooms and spices with the cooked spaghetti, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
- Stir in fresh herbs and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve with a sprinkle of cheese or a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
